Test Driving The Brand, New Firestorm Viewer Release....

I just tested out the brand, new latest Firestorm Viewer release (Firestorm Viewer) which was as of this writing, released a few hours ago..
First thing I did was a full, clean install after making a back up folder (in the preferences) and then downloaded and installed the new viewer here:
Then once logged in go to Backup and load your backup settings then relog and then your all set. No annoying redoing all your preferences from scratch.
If you custom set up your rear view camera angles then you do have to readjust that.
I did not notice any new features or settings right away but after test driving it for an hour I found it to be the best version yet. Things seemed to be instant rezz and the invisible prim bug seems to be gone. You know that damn bug that made some stuff not visible unless you right clicked it! Well it seems to be gone.
Also while riding moderately fast on my Iron Horse (motorcycle) I found the scenery rezzed and focussed faster, prims rezzed and sim crossings not so bad as before and I did not crash. These things may or may not have anything to do with the viewer but all seemed well.
This is a mandatory release because of July 9th, 2013 when the Lindens flick the switch for the new avatar bake thingy, all the older viewers will no longer work properly as promised now for the past year...The day has dawned peeps so upgrade, upgrade upgrade!!!!
As of writing this and seeing no real bugs or issues I give this new release 9 out of 10 Zig points. If it also served coffee and a free douche then it would have gotten a 10 ;-)
