Living On The Second Life Mainland....

Been living at our new home at Bron Yr Aur on the Mainland, Corsica region now for a week plus and have fallen in love. I am lucky enough so far to have found a quiet plot of land with no sign of visitors, trespassers or griefers and the sky is relatively clear of floating crap!
What I have learned to love about the mainland is that I can walk, ride or sail for hours with no borders or boundaries that exist on a private sim, island or homestead. I recently took a 4 hour canoe trip down the coastal area of the Linden Sea surrounding Corsica and despite the occasional ban lines, it was a wonderful trip and I discovered fantastic builds and landscaping around every bend...Huge castles, tiny, cozy homes, beautiful bays, massive yachts and waterways and numerous other people sailing, swimming and boating. A few people yelled out to me from the shore and said their hello's as I sailed by the shore! It seems like the mainland can have more of a community feeling in some sections and exploring the mainland it feels like the adventurous days of discovering everything for the first time as a noobie!
There are endless highways running through every region of the mainland where despite the annoying sim crossings, I can ride my motorcycle forever at full speed. Trails for horseback riding, parks (I live near the Linden Memorial Park) and endless interesting and some not so interesting buildings and areas!
Our home is nestled in a little nook off the main thouroughfare of the Linden Skirvin Sea on east Corsica and as I sit on our dock or porch I often see distant boaters on yachts sailing by. When I lived on a private sim I had to recreate such a peaceful scene with a scripted texture of a ship sailing by!
Living on private sim/islands all these years was nice and I have beautiful memories but now I have fallen in love with the mainland and the variety it offers and may never go back!
I am planning another huge canoe trip soon and this time I will take some pics and share them here with you....

Minimalist On The Mainland...Ziggy Gets Back To Basics at Bron Yr Aur

Not been blogging much here in the past little while because I been very busy in real life and busy moving again in Second Life!
My boyfriend Holter and I had been living in a huge Hollywood Style Mansion on a tropical beach for the past few months and even held our big, birthday bash, house party there a few weeks ago. It was a huge house and it sat on a huge quarter sim which was costing us an arm and a leg to rent. We loved the place, loved the house but with us both being very busy lately with our real lives we found we were just not online enough to justify paying a huge chunk of real dollars for so much virtual land when we were offline collectively for weeks at a time!
After spending some time hiking around the grid as my alt, Valiant..I began discovering the feeling of living almost free on Second Life like we all did as noobs. The fun and joys of discovering. We had no homes and needed no homes but we just logged on and off where we were.
I began to think and discuss with Holter about minimilizing everything and not spending so much on pixel belongings...
We decided to give up the huge house and huge tropical island and maybe move into my small, almost-free, Linden House but it was just too restricting in prims!
As i was hiking around on the mainland, I came across this medium sized strip of land on a mountainside by the Linden Ocean. It was for sale!!!!
Long story short, I decided to try buying land from the Lindens, paying a small tier fee and living on the smaller sized land.
All my years as Ziggy I had always lived on tropical, beach property but in my other life when I was the avatar named Rhett Whybrow, I owned a plot of mainland in a forest setting and made it into a small farm with horses, cows, sheep, pigs, chickens etc. I was missing that and this was a perfect opportunity to return to my roots, so to speak and once again live in the woods, in a log cabin and a more northern climate with more than just palm trees and sand!
These pictures show Holter and my new woodland home on the mountainside. I named it "Bron Yr Aur" which had been the name of my farm 3 years ago which is also the name of a small, cottage in Wales in real life where one of my favorite bands of all time-Led Zeppelin, had stayed in and wrote and recorded songs for the "Led Zeppelin 3" album!
I am part Welsh/British with some Irish in me so this was close to my heart as well as a name with a meaning! Bron Yr Aur means golden breasts or hill of gold in the way the morning sun would shine on the hillside. The morning sun shines on the mountainside of our new home!!!
It is deep forest in the back with abundant wildlife-birds,squirrels, racoons, deer and down the hill it leads to the shore of the vast Linden Oceans so it is a great place for us to do our speed boating and canooing.
As my friend Kyle said when he visited last night..."It;s very peacefull here" and this is a good place for Holter and I to escape to when our real lives get nuts!

Well what an eventfull week...Finally broke down and splurged on a new computer but what a horrific experience!
I got up bright and early with the excitement of going to a local electronics store called "Futureshop" here in Toronto, Canada. I wrote down all the specific requirments needed to run Second Life and got info from some websites and blogs as to what system was recommended for a fast smooth SL performance and handed it to the saleman in Futureshop. He showed me this huge beautiful 17 inch screen desktop computer with the tower built into the monitor. He assured me it had a better graphics card than the recommended specifics I offered him for SL.
The thing was so huge and heavy I needed a cab to carry it home which was just down the street. I unpacked it, set it up and sat through the agonizing task of what seemed like millions of windows updates....
The moment of truth. I was about to experience Second Life in the best quality and performance I had ever seen and on an huge screen.
I downloaded Firestorm and logged in....Oh FUCK!
Ten minutes later when my inventory finally slowly loaded I experienced nothing rezzing at all and such sluggish movement I was dumbfounded.
I installed the Exodus viewer and got only 5 frame rates as per 0 on Firestorm.
This computer was slower and worse than my old 2 year old laptop. I was so livid I almost threw the monitor through the window!
I packed the lemon up as best I could and cabbed it back to the store in a snowstorm and demanded the computer with the standards I asked for. He looked up the system requirements for me on a PC and said that the card I had was not combatible with Second Life although it was indeed one of the top of the line cards. Don't ask me the name of the card because I don't care, it sucked! I want my GEFORCE NVIDIA!!!!!!
Anyways he showed me a big DELL laptop with a NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 525M graphics card and I waited 2 hours for them to format it for me and I cabbed my new baby home!
When I hooked the computer up I imediately added Firestorm and Exodus viewers and logged in with baited breath....
Firestorm gave me great performance with frame rates of 24 to 30 and fast rezzing and loading and no lag however I was seeing these glittery, blue sparkles on many of the prims. Looked nice yes but silly!
Logged on with my current favorite The Exodus Viewer and was agasp at the almost instant loading, faster performance, no glitter on the prims, no lag to be heard of and frame rates of 40 to 66!!!!!!! Double to what Firestorm offered me!
Anyways I cannot endorse The EXODUS VIEWER enough and now I love my new computer and seeing SL in a new, lag free way like never before.
Now I am reading and hearing about this unbelievable bullshit from Linden Labs about fucking over the third party viewers and breaking the Viewer tag functionality because the Lindens basically want to cover up and censor the fact that noone uses their viewer and how embarrassing that it. They really have no fucking clue!

Meet Valiant Thor...

Valiant is completely different persona for me when I want to explore and role play!
Yup he is a furry but more like my profile says; A Shape-shifter from Mars. I change into many forms but this is my main shape!
Valiant Thor hangs around the Wastelands, Insilico and various other "futuristic" sims and rarely goes to clubs.

Yes Whitney Houston was a great singer, yes she sang "I Will Always Love You" and yup she's dead, dead, dead but enough already! If I hear one more person sobbing and moaning about how they were great friends with her and how many people love her I will upchuck and vomit!
Everybody turned their back on her when she began sweating and being crazy on crack and yup she did it all to herself. Nobody forced her to do drugs and drink and if she danced with the devil than she should have known that her last days were dawning.
We have all mourned and cried and wailed and told everybody who would listen that we were her number one fan but she is gone and it;s time to move on! No more CNN news reports, no more death theories and debates and for the love of God, no more preachers and ministers singing at her funeral on TV, trying to make a name for themselves at her expense and have a singing career!

Wow I am still breathless from all the fun. Holter and I decided to have a big house party to celebrate both our real life birthdays and we decided to do it Hollywood style. Limo's, velvet ropes, V.I.P.s everybody as DJ Aeschylus Shepherd spun the fantastic tunes and did a fantastic set and never let up with cool tunage. Shep launched the party with the fabulous "Hollywood Tonight" by Michael Jackson and set the perfect mood.
Everybody arrived by limo of coarse and balloon popping was mandatory....
First off I would like to thank all my friends who attended as well as those who could not make it but wished us well. Thank you Shep, Larz, Kharissa, Thorn, Bock, Hurtfullsplash, Scotty, Gracin, Avacar, Regi, Rocky, Levi, Dune, Esme, Dar, Max, Prizm, Licious (sorry for spelling) and the others which I did not manage to remember everybody's names (I am so sorry if I missed you).
Halfway through the party I could not help myself as Holter and myself drove our motorcycle into the swimming pool in rock star style hahahaha....
Thank the linden Gods that the lag was not too wild and everything went off without a hitch.

Mesh - A Second Look...

I been using the new EXODUS VIEWER now for 2 or 3 days non stop as my main viewer. It seems flawless and although still in beta, I found my frame rates increased, I am rarely experiencing any serious lag, I never crash (yet in 3 days) and I can still see Mesh! I love Exodus so much I uninstalled Firestorm and added a permanent link on this blog to their web site. All this on a viewer 3, mesh enabled viewer. I love the v3 format and did I mention I can see mesh? hehehehe
I endorse and recommend the Exodus Viewer 100%.
Now that I can stop raging over viewer performance for the first time since July 2011 maybe now I can start looking at mesh on Second Life in a different light with a more open mind.
Mesh clothing is still useless crap to me because until they can get it together enough to re-size the clothes to fit the avatar and not the other way around then it is a no go for me!
Now other mesh stuff might not be something to be sniffed at...The picture above is me sitting on what I believe, is mesh furniture owned by Holter. It looks hot, the colors are happening and gives it a sleek modern look. I have seen other objects created with mesh which look similarly good and realistic. Maybe I should stop saying Blaaaaaaaa to everything mesh and wait for it to develop more and see what happens. Now that it stops lagging me then maybe I can kiss and make up with mesh!

The Exodus Viewer....The New Viewer On The Block

I been hearing a lot of talk about the Exodus Viewer these past few weeks and how what started off as a viewer good for combat on Second Life has now turned out to be a great viewer of choice because of it's faster performance, graphics and features. It has been no secret to readers of this blog that I have dicked around with many viewers, especially Firestorm, in my quest to stop my constant laggy, sluggishness and hard crashes that I have suffered from since the cursed mesh entered the virtual world of Second Life.
I tried the new Linden Lab Viewer 3 and nothing rezzed half the time and it lagged like a mother fuck. It seems the Firestorm Viewer is already out dated and they seem to be taking their sweet time updating it and I am sick of waiting for promises of things to come, only to crash and be disappointed. I need to try something else....
NEXT!!!
I heard alot about the Niran Viewer and before I even tried it I was put off by the arrogant attitude of it's developer who appears throughout the net on message boards, bragging and slagging other viewers. Well I downloaded it and had to search for the god damn Icon to click on to open the viewer and found it buried in a folder somewhere and no convenient, pretty, little Icon on my desktop that all the other viewers bless us with. When I got it up and running I crashed immediately. Tried it again. Lag lag lag and sluggish, worse than any of the viewers and although I admit I loved the unique, different look of it all it just wouldn't cut it for me!
Sooooo....I downloaded the Exodus Viewer and was instantly smitten.
The Exodus Viewer reminded me of Firestorm only better with fast loading of graphics, smoother, non-laggy performance and most of the cool, features I loved about Firestorm. It has radar built in, multiple clothing layers, easy to use built-in AO feature and best of all faster on my system almost if not equal to Phoenix Viewer 1 without the mesh only in the sleek, new Viewer 3 format that I think I like. My only complaint was the gesture button gives you a list of all your gestures in your inventory and not just the ones you have enabled. It is also very customizable with it's button layout etc etc. I have only used it for 4 hours so far so I have not really tested it and so far though I have not crashed on it. I used it to go to a very crowded, laggy party and was surprised by it's constant great performance. I can have my usual graphic settings on medium like I was used to before the horrible mesh made me have to set my graphics on low and I'm sorry if I bitched about this before but why should I have to suffer with a poorer looking Second Life just so someone can wear a pretty stupid mesh dress. I said it before and I will say it again, mesh sucks!
Anyways I won't get started on mesh again and how it ruined SL for many of us but instead plan on playing with this new Exodus Viewer for awhile and see what happens and let you all know.

UPDATE: I been using this viewer now for 2 days and have not crashed. The performance is spectacular with speed and movement I have never achieved on my laptop pc, even with Phoenix Viewer 1. I cannot recommend this EXODUS VIEWER more, it is the viewer I been waiting for.
The developers of Exodus are gods to me, thanx guys for a fantastic piece of work here, you did it. You cured my sluggish lag even in the laggiest of sims with a full blown party of 30 plus avatars in it.
Well done, goodbye Firestorm!

Noma Falta and Live Muscicians In Second Life....

For many years now I have often taken the time to go to Second Life clubs and concert halls which feature Live musicians. Live musicians which actually sing and play real life instruments.
Over the years on my blog here I have featured concerts such as Kiss, Pink, Beyonce, Lady Gaga etc which featured avatars which resemble the singers and musicians but play on a stage to a backup live tape of pre-recorded concerts by the actual band.
Live musicians actually sing and play in real life and stream it into Second Life.
Of all the great musicians I have seen the one that keeps popping up more and more and keeps impressing me over and over again is the fabulous NOMA FALTA...
She plays bass and sings, mostly blues and rock tunes with a tremendous back up tape of other instruments. I have heard who do great versions of tunes like "Breakdown" by Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers as well as even some Led Zeppelin blues.

Noma Falta is a musician playing blues and soulful rock in virtual worlds and In-person around the globe. Although she is a classically trained violinist, at a young age , she left a 10 year career with symphonies to pursue her love of singing and playing live rock and blues music - and never looked back. Gospel and blues are the foundations of her singing .

Her experience is extensive with many years of live performance (her favorite!) and studio sessions. Noma has played all around the United States and some overseas as well. From her first duo gig in coffee shop to a 12-piece Soul band to 3 piece blues bands - music is the journey that will never stop.

Tadd's Caberet and Dance Club shows how it's done right....

Lately I been going to the fabulous Tadd's Caberet And Nightclub and have always had a fantastic time. The club is always friendly and welcoming as fuck and the hot dancers, cute hosts and happening DJ's as well as the owners; Tadd Rives and Johny Alderton make this my current favorite place to be on Second Life.
I remember hearing about this club through a few friends of mine including Eddi Haskell, who raved about it and at the time I was forcing myself to try and have fun at some other cliquey club that was always happening in the same time slot at Tadd's party's, so I never got the chance to go until a few months ago.
Finally after being snubbed repeatedly at the competitors club, I decided to make my way over to Tadd's via a private helicopter so kindly provided by Mr Haskell and when I arrived I was overwhelmed by the friendly "Hello's" and welcomes. The hello's turned out to be not just from dancers with outstretched palms begging for Lindens in the promise to suck my cock but from the gracious hosts, DJ's, club owners AND the friendly crowd in attendance. Right away I was impressed by the relaxed, friendly, non-cliquey atmosphere.
I wish I always had enough Lindens to tip them all because if any club deserves tips it is this place and although I try and tip when I can (I have no SL job) they have told me on numerous occasions that tipping was not so important to them but the fact that I came and had a good time!
As time went by I had more and more fun and now I am there regularly when I have free time. Screw the cliquey clubs...
Now Tadd's also has special meaning to me as I met my boyfriend Holter there as well as some great, new friends like Mike Adams (one of the dancers) and long time friends like Scotty Everett, Eddi Haskell, Ryce Skytower and the happening DJ's like Tinamarie, Jared, Jonathon, Johny Boy, Brien, InsyX etc as well as some fabulous live musicians that often play at Tadd's as well.
There are party's every night at Tadd's usually from 7pm to 9pm Second Life Time and music ranges to everyone's tastes! Also Tadd's has rental, beach houses available and I visited one and they are more spacious than many other places.
I strongly urge you to check the place out because you will be welcomed warmly and will not receive the clique treatment and sure to have a great fun time!

Finally have some fuckin' dayze off from my fucked up real life work schedule and got to do some serious partying with Holter. I already foretold of days and nights of debauchery when I have had to work to hard and too long so you know of which I speak when I say how hard we partied, snogged, shagged, shook and shimmied! Attended a great birthday party for Kharissa Indigo with Dj Shepherd playing a hot selection of tunage in attendance with my man Holter as well as Slcelebrities: Larz Kas, Kyle Beckett, Chaz and Kip, Dj Thorn and so many more. I had my camera ready for some photos but SL antics were rendering me unable to take pictures or to save them so it was a bust in that department. Lindens dropped the ball yet again!
However we were much too busy having fun, worrying about the Lindens and just doing it to make much a blog post here other then to let the pictures tell the story...but first a word from our sponsor:

Say Goodbye To Viewer 1

The day is dawning and the end is very near for viewer 1's like the Phoenix Viewer. We were told it would happen and the beginning of the end is near.
Oz Linden has announced an update coming to the inventory feature which will apparently not work with Viewer 1's so if your still using something like the Phoenix Viewer you will have no inventory, unable to change clothes, get landmarks etc etc etc. You are forced to have to switch to the Viewer 2 like Firestorm or the Viewer 3 like the new, latest, Official Second Life Viewer.

From Oz Linden:

We’re going to deploying changes to the inventory backend soon that improve robustness and performance, but in testing those changes we found that existing viewers relied on certain things being strictly ordered. With the new backend, that assumption does not always hold true.Changeset d327dcc8ae51<https://bitbucket.org/lindenlab/viewer-development/changeset/d327dcc8ae51>from viewer-development implements the viewer change needed to avoid race conditions. It should be straightforward to apply to any viewer, and is safe to release before the changes are deployed (it is compatible with the services as they are now).You are strongly urged to port this patch and get it deployed.

Now the sky is not falling right this second and developers may very well make upgrades to keep Viewer 1's working but it is now just a matter of time. You were warned, I was warned, we all were warned.
I am glad I been using the Viewer 2's long enough now that I am completely comfortable. In fact I forget how to use viewer 1's/Phoenix now. Besides the crashing and lag which I am being forced to get used to, I love the Firestorm viewer and looking forward to their imminent release of Viewer 4 which they say will include the option to use the new Linden Lab Viewer 3 interface (confusing yes). Their viewer 4 includes the ability to edit jewelry size by a number system and the option to include multiple messages when your avatar is set to away or unavailable etc etc. I am told this new Firestorm Viewer 4 release is due any moment now.
Here we go into the great looming, Mayan 2012 end of days, apocalyptic year and cccchanges are coming. Turn and face the strange....cccchanges!

Here we are again in a new year 2012. Everybody I have spoken too has nothing but positive thoughts that 2012 is going to be an great, uplifting year and that for many 2011 was not such a good year for some of us.
2011 for me was not so great as I went through 2 SL marriages that did not last however on a positive note I had met these 2 beautiful men in 2011 and we all remain close friends still.
Kyle Beckett and Aeschylus Shepherd will be my friends for life and I wish them a very happy 2012.
At the very tail end of 2011 I met someone new. I have started 2012 off with a bang meeting Holter and now knowing him better I see why the things happened in the past which lead up to my destiny of being with Holter...Already 2012 is a hit!
Started off New Years Eve dancing with DJ Regi Yifu at his fabulous Warehaus69 Club while waiting for my man to come on line. Holt came online and we went to the track to do some motorcycle riding on the open highway.
Nothing beats racing down the road with everything rushing by on a bike, every nerve alive, hair blowing back and holding on to the waist of your man hunk.
Roaring throbbing engine between my thighs as the burnout smoke encircled us as though we had taken to the skies...love machines in harmony, hear the engines cries! ;-)
What a wonderful evening with my new man....

When we could ride no more we cleaned up quite nicely and got in our New Years best clothes and went club hopping and ended up at my current, favorite club: Tadd's Nightclub where the owners, the crowds are always, constantly friendly and welcoming. DJ Jarred pumped out the tunes as we danced and enjoyed the last few hours of 2011 and welcomed the new year 2012 together.
This was the first New Years Eve where Ziggy was completely sober on Second Life with no drinkie-poo's, cigs or drugs in hand. Every second was em-blazed in my mind.
Welcome 2012, already it looks like we are going to be friends!

Canadian-developed HIV vaccine approved for human studies

After two decades of research, a group of Canadian scientists has won approval to start testing an experimental HIV vaccine on humans.

The vaccine, developed by researchers at the University of Western Ontario, has received a green light from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for clinical human trials.

Beginning in January, the vaccine will be given to 40 healthy people with HIV to test its safety.

Dr. Chil-Yong Kang, professor of virology at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario, called the FDA approval a “milestone.”

“We started the basic science research two decades ago,” Kang said. “The vaccine development, we started 10 years ago. This is incredible for us to get to this stage of development.”

Kang said the vaccine, called SAV001, is the first preventative HIV vaccine approved for clinical trials to use a killed whole HIV-1 virus to activate the immune response in humans.

The strategy has been used before to develop successful vaccines for influenza, polio, rabies and hepatitis A. Kang said these past successes for other viral diseases provide hope the Canadian-developed vaccine will work against HIV.

The human immunodeficiency virus used in the vaccine has been genetically altered to render it non-pathogenic, or unable to cause disease. Kang and his research team then further inactivated the virus using chemicals and radiation.

“In the past, people did not use this strategy (using a killed whole HIV virus) because people did not know how to make a safer virus and people did not know how to make large quantities of it,” Kang said. “Now we have solved those problems by the genetic engineering of the virus.”

According to the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, there are 30 HIV vaccines currently being tested in phase 1 clinical trials around the world.

Many of these vaccines have largely focused on using one specific component of the human immunodeficiency virus to trigger an immune response. Other vaccines have used other viral vectors to create a vaccine. Right now, there is no effective HIV vaccine.

Dr. Jonathan Angel, president of the Canadian Association for HIV Research, whose research is funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, said it is exciting that a Canadian scientist’s work has progressed from the basic research level to a vaccine approved for human clinical trials, meeting the rigorous criteria of the FDA.

But he also cautioned that developing an effective HIV vaccine remains a daunting task because HIV is a complex virus that scientists do not yet completely understand.

Should the SAV001 be proven safe, the vaccine will enter the second phase of clinical trials, in which it will be tested on 600 HIV-negative volunteers at high risk for HIV infection. Researchers will measure the volunteers’ immune response to the vaccine.

The third and final phase would enroll 6,000 HIV-negative volunteers at high risk for the disease. The participants, half of whom would be vaccinated and half un-vaccinated, would be tracked for three years to see how many in each group became infected with HIV.

Kang and his team received funding from Sumagen Canada, a company created in 2008 to support the development of the vaccine and a subsidiary of a Korean-based pharmaceutical venture company.

Ban Mesh Back To The Old Phoenix Viewer

Throughout this past summer and all the way until now I had been a fan of the Phoenix Firestorm viewer as well as the old Phoenix Viewer standby and as time went on and mesh became implemented (well documented and bitched about by yours truly elsewhere on this blog) more and more times than I care to count I would crash for no apparent reason. I experimented with various viewers, settings and blaaa blaaa blaaa!
When I used to download and set up the non-mesh viewer updates and clicked on my default graphic settings it would always set to high or medium type settings and I would rarely have bad lag or crash and my performance and frame rates were reasonable enough to carry on and enjoy my in-world, Second Life experience with out concern.
Since mesh was introduced my frame rates dropped, performance was choppy and laggy and my automatic graphic settings went to low. Basically everything looked horrible while using the same computer, same set up and same settings. My computer is only a year old and has great power, graphics card etc etc.
Mesh or the mesh code has basically lagged everything down to a snails pace and even my buddies with super duper computers have noticed the horrific performance downgrade!
As is I love Firestorm, I mostly loved the built in AO and the multi-clothing layers and became accustomed to using these features to make my avatar look the way I liked but it's the Lindens new codes which bugger things up!
Last night while on an important date I began crashing constantly so bad and then finally I could not log on without crashing, even with the new fixes and upgrades. I tried Firestorm with mesh, Phoenix with mesh and the official SL viewer. All the same..lag, crashing, walking through mud and just so enjoyable I could not continue.
Sooo I went and removed all traces of all viewers from my machine and reinstalled the old version of Phoenix
version 1.5.2.1185 without mesh and logged in...WOW back in business like the good old days. Fast performance, good graphics, very little lag and high frame rates. All I needed was to basic down on my multi clothing and tattoo layers and start using my old AO hud and chim for dances and everything was fantastic. No crashes, no crippling lag and an enjoyable experience!
Until Linden Labs gets their shit together and fixes this bad code or mesh or whatever they have screwed with that has lagged down the grid then I am staying with the non-mesh, old viewer 1 style Phoenix Viewer.
I have proven that mesh is the culprit and since I think anything made of mesh that I have seen so far looks plastic, horrible and just plain dull, I don't need or want mesh and will continue with the old Phoenix Viewer until it fails to work or until they fix this terrible crap.
Any viewer with mesh enabled will lag you, slow you down and eventually crash you!

Now I am not hating on Firestorm or Phoenix with mesh or any other viewers because in themselves they work fabulously and have terrific features but for me and my machine, the new code and mesh is just not working. If it works for you then fantastic but if you are having problems like I have, the above viewer is the one for you!
Hopefully in the new year the Lindens will sort this all out and things will speed up but for now it seems it is just not working up to snuff!
Now I will no longer have to spend hours of valuable time tweaking settings, reading Wiki's or Jira's or blog posts, attending classes and trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. I can just log on and have fun!

Well that was a quick hiatus from blogging until after Christmas wasn't it, but this is a blog post that needed to be called out on by Ziggy the brutally honest bitch!!!
The above message was the friendly greeting (cough) sent out by a certain 2 individuals at a certain long, time, standing club of the gay community on Second Life when arriving at the opening of their latest new club on Friday night! Within seconds of arriving any avatar with a high script count was immediately ejected and sent home with the above message! No warnings, instant eject!
Wow what a friendly bunch of guys....NOT!
Now I understand that avatars with huds and attachments can cause lots a bad bad lag but to be rudely booted in the ass on their doorstep and especially when the party noticed said "Cum as you are". Hmmm it is already constantly laggy there as it is with all their spy scripts even with 1 avatar on the sim at 4 am. I know I tried walking there alone at 4 am....
This is Hitler storm trooper tactics and it is pure and total bullshit!
As people were arriving they were getting ejected and a small war began to erupt in local chat as people confronted the Nazi's and made it quite clear they will never be returning and that they have now lost a long-term, loyal customer. It was quite the fiasco...
Let's just say that on my behalf, i quit all their groups and will never return to any of their clubs, malls or shops again and after ruining what was a wonderful night up to that point...

New Opening Of Pure Sound a Fabulous Success

Well Pure Sound has relocated and it's first party was a major success!
Dj Shepherd pumped out the tunes and host Larz worked the crowd and the place was happening!!!
The new club location is on a beach setting with surrounding waterfalls, islands and a light house. My settings for the viewer were on low due to my ongoing SL problems so the pics may not show the scene at it's best but a nice view different than most club settings made a wonderful ambiance.
There will be regular party's at Pure Sound every Sunday from 2pm to 4pm SLT with Dj Shepherd and host Larz so please come by and enjoy.

What a great weekend....

Another great weekend has come and gone and so much of my new Second Life has come to pass.
First off, I moved into a new home with Shep on the beach and spent a 24 hour marathon decorating (which all gays love), landscaping and the occasional party. We moved into a large beach house together and had a great time making it all happen! Also, Shep's club PURE SOUND relocated to a new parcel of land and Shep had that on his agenda to move and set up. There will definitely be weekly parties happening at Pure Sound on Sundays with Shep DJing and Larz Kas hosting! I will post more details as they happen.
When all was said and done, Shep and I went...SHOPPING and it was hard to restrain my shopping addiction but I did manage to only buy a fabulous, brown, leather bomber jacket and some jeans.
My buddy Dextrum Boucher also surprised us with with his fantastic new "Sex Anywhere" Huds and I am turning red as we speak when I tell you we tried it out and it was sexcellent. 10 out of 10 Zig points for Dex's Pillow Biters-Sex Anywhere Hud. Lots of cuddles, message and um fun! ;-)
Being with Shep these past few weeks has really allowed me to become "me" on Second Life and to allow my real life persona to become my second life persona without the pretense and character portrayal of trying to be the outrageous rockstar of David Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust".

A Pure Birthday Celebration

Sunday night was the crescendo of fun for me as we celebrated the real life birthday's of Larz Kas and my sexy, new husband Aeschylus Shepherd at Shep's club PURE SOUND...
Shep DJ'd for the first time after 5 months and came out of retirement with a bang!
The 3 hour party was packed with so many close friends that the IM boxes were on fire and the peeps in attendance lavished in the fun atmosphere, the sexy scenery and the pumping, hot tunes from DJ Shep. I know I am biased but the birthday boyz, Larz and Shep looked hotter than hell...and left me "tuned up" the whole time!
Rumor has it that this may become a regular, weekly party at Pure Sound with DJ Shep and host Larz! I will certainly not take no for an answer on this issue if I can help it! Pure Sound is a beautiful club, surrounded by the ocean and beach and the all glass walls allow beautiful scenic views!
I remember the first time I heard Shep DJ was at Club Blu about a year ago and had a crush on him from day one but various events kept us from ever seriously hooking up! The timing was right and at last we are together...

Plugged In...After Hours

Wow what a party!
Last night Shep and I attended the fabulous new after hours club called PLUGGED IN 2 with Dj Xade and host Kharissa Indigo with the electrifying theme of "electric blue"....
The atmosphere of the club was fun and wild and the colors and dance floor of the club was excellent! The club was packed and all the hotties in attendance were partying it up like it was December 2012 during the apocolypse. The club was brainstormed and designed by Kharissa and Xade and it is technically the replacement for the ill-fated Club Cirkuit which went belly up a few weeks back due to some sort of mishap!
This is going to defo be the club to attend every Saturday night for your naughty, after hours entertainment. The party's are held every Saturday night at 9pm SLT.
I danced with my man, Shep until we literally passed out on the floor and we just could not keep our hands off each other!
We made it home in one piece by limo (of coarse) and Shep surprised me with a ring! We passed out naked on the bed and slipped into total unconsciousness without the benefits of alcohol or drugs, which is pretty much a first for me lol. This goes to show you that Shep is my drug and I don't want no rehab baby...no no no!

Ziggy Starsmith: 2 Years and Going Stronger!

It was time for this blog of mine to have a major enema....
This blog has been going for 2 years now and time for a new beginning!
First I need to thank my Second Life partner Aeschylus Shepherd for spiffing up my blog header picture and making it...just better!
I also changed the blog name to just "Ziggy Starsmith" from "On The Edge" because it is going to take a new twist! No orgiastic, blood letting and rampant drugs and debauchery just for the sake of it, shock value or sensationalism!
I want to start covering more Second Life issues as well as share more of my new Second Life with my partner Shep in pics, video and stories rather than the same old, party, party, party! Been there and done all that!
Also thanx to fellow blogger Eddi Haskell who in a blog post on his blog, gave some great tips on streamlining blogs and making them faster loading with less bloated content and bells and whistles! He has also helped me since this blog's beginnings in helping and encouraging me to become a better blogger!
Also a special thanx also to my other fellow bloggers buddy Bock McMillan and Insyx Piranha who along with Eddi/Ryce Skytower encouraged me and gave me inspiration even when I seem all over the place and indecisive with looks and all around craziness!
Finally a huge thank you to my Second Life best friend and my real life partner of 18 years, Larz Kas who encouraged me to start this blog in the first place and is there to double check my blog posts before I publish them and to be the first to shake his head disapprovingly when I was about to post something that went too far or was way out into space!
I will still have biting, sharped tongue humor and comments but only when (cough) appropriate and of coarse I will still include random party's but the orgies, the drugs, the wanton path's of destruction are gone!

Wow time flies. It is Ziggy's 2nd Rez Day babies but in reality it is my 4th year on Second Life! I was originally born on SL on November 25th, 2007 as Rex Short then Rhett Whybrow. I have told this story before on this blog but yup, Ziggy was hatched November 6th, 2009. This is an example of all my "looks" from the past 2 years in order of their appearance. My fav will always be my current and one of my first, blond Ziggy's.
I have no party's planned because I will be working a real life 13 hour night shift but in my mind I will be remembering the past years and people who have touched my 2nd life...

I thought it would be funny to post some of my real life past pictures from when I was a professional musician in the 1980's. I played bass guitar and sang lead vocals in a punk rock metal band. The top pics are from 1985 when we played a show in a bar called "Larry's Hideaway" here in Toronto, Canada. We were just starting out. Below is from 1987 at La Spectrum in Montreal, Canada which was a huge concert hall after we had released our first album. (It was called album in them days lol)
Many of my close friends in Second Life know already about my real life past but I quit the band and the music business in 1990 to get away from the drugs and alcohol which we were all getting seriously addicted to. I had a bad real life drug problem (cocaine) which I quit, cold turkey in 1992 and never looked back. In order to do this I quit my old life entirely and lost contact with all people involved.
As you see my Second Life persona is based on my old real life past somewhat. Ziggy the avatar is basically me in my youth.
I joke and tell stories in this blog about Ziggy doing drugs and snorting cocaine off men's asses which I really did in RL back in the day but now I do not condone this behavior in reality. I just do this as sensationalism and for humor in the "Ab Fab", Patsy and Edina context!
I have real life pics and interviews from those day all over the internet and some of my SL friends have seen them but no I will not post the info here for privacy reason! Hehehehehe

Ok ok ok ok, I decided to post a video of a song that I sing and play bass guitar on. I also wrote this song in 1984. Brace yourself because it is punk, thrash , metal and not Lady gaga....

What's Up With Linden Labs?

It has been at least 2 months or more now that about 50% of people on Second Life have been experiencing major constant crashes and graphic problems due to bungled code or something due to the cursed mesh introduction to Second Life. People with certain graphic cards have major issues due to Mesh! I am one of them, experiencing hard crashes without warning and usually in the middle of an important conversation or in the act of um....lovey dovey!
The folks who bring us the Phoenix and Firestorm viewer say they have the final, official, release versions all ready to go with some interesting features and bug fixes but they will not release it until Linden Labs gets their act together and fixes this major problem with the mesh code that causes the crashes and graphics problems! It all seems very hush hush with the Lindens and nothing is ever officially told to us!
As the holiday season rapidly approaches one must wonder if it will be fixed or even considered before Christmas! Can you imagine the new people who decide to try out Second Life and experience these issues and crashing and decide "fuck this" and never return????
Also the problem with mesh clothing not being able to be re-sized to fit and instead we are expected to alter our avatars for this pile of shit! Mesh to me is a major failure and because of it, all this extra bullshit is pissed down upon us.
The new official viewer is also a silly hunk of dog poop and still they waste time playing with this instead of just fixing more important major bugs! I wonder where their priority lies!
Second Life on the upside is a fantastic place despite the Hitler like mentality of the Lindens and having tried the other virtual worlds, they all suck with lag and bugs that could make a priest curse like a sailor. One must wonder if the Lindens are riding high on a massive ego trip of like it or lump or take it down the road and dump it!
So...like faithful, little sheep we stick to Second Life because despite the fuck ups, it can be a fun, wonderful experience, many of us have good friends here and we know we are all desperately addicted and could never imagine our lives without it
Please Mr Big Stuff Lindens, please please get it together before you go too far and we are all forced to quit Second Life because none of us cannot log in anymore!

Get In The Ring...

What a great day! Got up and tanned nude on the beach for a few hours then called up larzy and headed out dancing at the Bullring with DJ Hotboy bombasting us with tunage! Met and chatted to this really cute, blond dude named Tauren Ashdene and just watching him dance made me crazy!!!!
Afterwards we headed on over to DJ Wesley Spengler's Pavilion Beach party and danced by the ocean.
We ended the perfect evening at Impulse's 2606 leather bar with DJ Dextrum Boucher in our well worn leathers and frolicked hard until dawn...
After a cat nap and some Red Bull I went cruising over at Spurt's Beach but everyone seemed passed out asleep in the deck chairs so I decided to check out this place I heard of called "Fuel For Men" and had a hot situation develop on the floor. Enough said 'K'....

Well the Halloween weekend has ended for another year and with it comes Lady Ziggy's last few breaths before I put away my pink boots and my frocks and return to ME again!

Started the day off dancing at Dorian Gray/Tainted Boys before jetting back home to catch my breath with a nice dinner on the beach of corn on the cob and a dozen or so bottles of wine...then hopped back on the private jet to go party at Tadd's Cabaret, where I watched sexy Tadd and Ryce dance along with trustworthy Larz...

Afterwards we hopped in a cab and took in 2 hours of more Halloween festivities at BOO at BLU (Club Blu) where I perv cammed sexy Zann Baxton and Zim Gunsberg (in white shirt beside me below)

When the night was finally over I was carried out of the cab by my friends and left to recover on my doorstep and after a good few hours I awoke face down in the sand on my beach, covered in cobwebs, leftover pumpkin and melted chocolate where I shit, showered and shaved and put Lady Ziggy to bed for another year....then I went hunting for man ass at Spurt's gay Beach!!!!

Halloween At The Pavilion

Oh my bloody God....The Halloween Party at the Pavilion with host Kharissa Indigo and DJ Wesley Spengler was a screaming success! A great collection of costumes, fun and lively conversation and fantastic set design courtesy of Kharissa!
Once again I donned my frock and pink boots and looked as slutty as possible while I danced and dodged sexual insults with Truck Merideth and Tymus Tenk with hilarious back and forth's in a verbal Wimbledon that left us all shaking with laughter!
Nicholas Galewarden looked hotter than vindaloo in his police uniform while the newest, hottest couple on the scene: Larz Kas and Scotty Lacourte made all the monsters drool....
What a great party with more party's to come for this Halloween weekend of debauchery, zombies and naked boogie men all ascending upon me for a piece of the action ;-)

Wow man, what a Friday! After bitching and moaning about dead party's and boring clubs lately I hit the nail on the head and pinned my tail on the donkey today!
Started the morning off sun tanning at Paradise Beach where this homophobic little twerp named TIMTHEGUY was there harassing and throwing insults at all the gay men. When I arrived, Larz Kas was just beginning to lay into him but when I got there we let him have it. Five of us surrounded him, insulted him, pushed him and finally drove him away before I could smash my bottle of Jack Daniels over his head. We thought afterwards that he was a young girl in a mans avatar by the silly comments he/she spouted out. Anyways after my heroic actions i was cruised heavily and hit on by this sexy tattooed man and we sneaked off to the other side of the island and made passionate love in the waves for an hour before we got waterlogged...
After dinner I got undressed, yes UNDRESSED and went to the pool party at TJ's Castle of Love with the spectacular as ever, DJ HOTBOY where everyone was naked, sexy and in heat. I started to realize through my drunken haze that maybe I should not just go "Blah" to all the party scene but maybe start venturing to some newer clubs and newer scenes instead of boring myself at the same old, same old, routines of my regular club hopping! There are other clubs and DJ's to explore and maybe I should expand my horizons instead of becoming too jaded just because I am sick of some of my usual haunts.
Anyways I am off for 7 days straight of real life and will be back next Saturday for the HALLOWEEN celebrations....have a great week my sexy pixels xoxoxoxox

Second Life has really become boring for me lately!
Last night I was so bored and fed up with some people that I almost considered quitting Second Life for good and just retire to playing my Facebook games!
I had a good nights sleep and dreamed of my damn, silly avatar and all his eccentric moves that he/I made over the past 4 years and especially all the different looks of Ziggy especially!
I decided to have more fun with Ziggy in the sense that I will no longer have any boundaries over how i look, act or the things i do.
I am going to shapeshift whenever I want, bringing in the fun elements of shapeshifting that i have with my alt: "Valiant Thor". Valiant is sometimes human, sometimes furry, sometimes dinosaur, sometimes whatever and this element is what I am going to upgrade my Ziggy avatar to.
I will never appear the same way constantly and will change my avatar, race, species and maybe even my sex of my avatar whenever the mood strikes me and the situation I am in.
Don't expect Ziggy to always look the same way from day to day!
The pic above are my main three, favorite Ziggy avatars of my male human form but other than those three...anything goes!
I am also cutting down on the bar and club and party scene of Second Life and spending more time exploring, socializing or whatever and not so hellbent of attending every club and party in sight. I am frankly burnt out after 4 years on Second Life and sick of the endless party's!
Yes I will carry on with this blog but it will not be as frequent and I will lean towards better quality posts instead of endless party's, fucking, tits and cocks!
I am no longer interested in standing or dancing around in a boring atmosphere where people are not speaking, trying to look all cool but being more boring than one can possibly imagine!

Decided to club hop with Larzy tonight and started off earlier at The BULLRING with DJ HOTBOY who never fails to entertain and rock me! Afters we put our clothes back on and stumbled into CLUB BLU with very sexy DJ ZANN and he too never fails to deliver a stellar set of tunes and so nice on the eyes that you could make yourself squirm and dance without any music by just looking at him shirtless. WOOT!
Finally ended the nights festivities at the fabulous TADD's CABARET and NIGHTCLUB with DJ JONATHAN who like Zann and Hotboy. Delivered the goods, gave us something very nice to look at and entertained us with bombastic sounds and tunage! At the end of the night, Larzy was pooped and headed home while I poured my naked body into some cool, new short shorts from JOMO and went cruising at the various beaches: SPURT's and PARADISE Beach. Seems the "twinkie" men congregate at Paradise Beach and the hairier, beefier dudes loiter at Spurt's. I was sitting on my beach today with Larz and Kharissa and trying on some of my old outfits and my old avatars when I stumbled upon my original Ziggy Noob avatar from 2009 when I first changed to Ziggy Starsmith from my old avi, Rhett Whybrow. Yes I was originally blond. It struck all of us how original and sort of different it looked from everybody else and even different than most blonds on Second Life. With reinforcement from Larz and Khar I decided to use my original skin and shape again but just added a slightly updated hair highlight on top. It actually looks more like me in real life in an uncanny resemblance!
Yup Zig changed his skin yet again!

Damiax Anatra'Thor is the creator and owner of DamiaxArt and Museum & Art-Inside. In October 2011 he is teaming up with Egoisme to do a project that combines art and fashion....
One of the most fascinating aspects of Damiax's work is his Art Inside exhibits which consists of a large box with the painting and art work on the front which opens up to reveal the exact replica of the artwork in 3D form enabling you to walk inside the painting and become part of the art in a interactive, virtual copy of the art (as displayed by the pictures below.) Absolutely brilliant!!!

Hello Damiax thank you for doing this little chat with me. We have met so many years ago when I was an avi named Rhett Whybrow and we been in and out of each others circles for 3 years or more now.
You gave me a painting many years ago called "Men Battle" which I love and have had on the wall of my home as well as numerous other art pieces from your museum which my home is filled with!

1) What made you first find Second life and do you still love it as much as when you first joined?

I had seen videos on the internet showing this wonderful world and I created a character to visit. I had the good fortune to meet Torchwood, my wonderful husband a month after joining Second Life. He was the first to believe in me and be my muse that inspired me and 4 years later he continues to support me.
The thing that struck me the most is the ability to create what ever my imagination could have imagine. In this way I could give life to my art. I got to know some artists in Second Life and I was fascinated by the idea of being able to create art. Thus I decided to start my projects with DamiaxArt and Art - Inside. I have started to rebuild some famous paintings with the materials of Second Life, for example, artists such as Botticelli, Monet, Esher, De Chirico.
I was fortunate to meet people who have helped me a lot for my projects, like my sweet sl sister Johnnie Rau, offered a space where to show my work and to her I have dedicated my museum. I also have a great friend named Tadd Rivers that helped me to show my work in Second Life. And yes, I do love SL even more today. I am happy in SL.

2) In October you are planning on doing a project to combine art with Egoisme store with fashion. Can you tell us about this project and the dates?

Ramses Meredith, creator of Egoisme. and I have been friends for a long time. We began to build things together and I remember when we went to many sandboxs in a different sims to see the wonders of Second Life. I did not imagine that we would become two well known brands in this world. It was easy for us to combine our two brands to create this interesting project. We started in September proposing this to a number of artists from Second Life and creating a place for their creations and hoping that they have the same good fortune as we had.
I have meet Ramses since he came to Second Life and we have always traveled in search of ideas and solutions to build, we watched the big brands with admiration and even fear. we thought was impossible to arrive at their levels, and we were working to invent objects, to understand how we could do the textures and everything that we needed to play. We had never thought of trying to do the work ourselves but slowly we started to sell and here we are!
We have a passion for art and so we "built" bridge between art and fashion, letting people to feel it in a common space, Egoisme sim, where customers and visitors can walk across fashion and art. We have think to create a sort of gallery openspace on the streets and the square, a perfect mix of good taste, fashion and creativity. to enhance the visitors tour. This project of multiple talents will continue until the last week of October. Egoisme has become a holding company with seven brands in it, and many strategic alliances, so we will be happy to organize a week of fashion and events where we will show all our new creations in a context where art will be the hostess

3) Tell us more about your Museum and Art Inside Art.

These are two separate projects. The Art Museum and my shops, I use to fund my personal gallery, to show my works that are not for sale. I produce both works of art by famous artists, and furnishings for the home. Also, I build on special requests. I offer a very eclectic mix of items, from of course Art for your SL home to fun items for play. My museum, Art Museum Johnnie Rau, was my first large exposition of art works, which has grown and continues to grow as I create more items.

4) What are your favorite artists in Second Life and Real Life? Have You Ever Made Any real-life art yourself?

Travelling in Second Life, I met a work of Esher (Relativity), reproduced from Solkide Auer and I liked the idea of walking into a painting. Thus began my project of creating Art - Inside. Then I wanted to dedicate to my favorite artist René Magritte exhibition dedicated to him called Magritte Project where I have tried to recreate some of his best known works in a place dedicated to him and finally ushering in my first gallery in Second Life.
In real life I paint as a hobby and I work in the art business in rl, but I do not think it will ever expose my works. But art is my life's passion.

5) Ok now for my generic question. When Damiax what would you do or if Second Life Vanishes for ever?

OH MY GOD!!! ^_^ I think that I would not care about losing anything material in sl, but my art would suffer a lot in losing my beloved Torchwood and friends who accompany me in this wonderful world. In our relationship I am inspired to create beautiful things, that can bring some joy that i have from my 4 years with my Sl partner. WIthout SL, I would so miss creating art in the format offered, and my partner. Lets hope that does not ever happen!! :)

The Phoenix Hour Sept 20th 2011 - Important Info on Phoenix with Mesh and Firestorm

Well a few posts ago I bitched and moaned about the new Firestorm beta 3 with Mesh and how mesh seems to have arrived on the grid and totally fucked everything up! Any viewer with mesh capabilities crashes for me very often enough to piss me off and ruin my SL experience on an hourly basis. FUCK MESH! It looks like shit to me. In order to wear mesh clothes you have to modify your avatar not the clothing and unless your a skinny, pink twink it makes you look like shit...try for yourself and see...you'll see!
Anyway I am back on the fantastic Phoenix Viewer for good now until this bullshit is fixed and Firestorm works again. I love and prefer Firestorm viewer but as of now with beta and mesh it is just horrific for me anyways. If it working for you then that's excellent but I don't have a beta mesh horseshoe up my ass.
Anyway here is a very interesting and informative video from the lady that brings you the Phoenix and Firestorm viewer and contains vital, critical information you need to know and also that Phoenix will soon also have mesh. You can bet your sweet ass that I will NOT be using the Phoenix with mesh version as it sure to fuck up! Oh did I say MESH FUCKIN' SUCKS!
In order for me to use the Phoenix viewer again after 6 months or more on Firestorm I had to redo my avatar from the ground up, using only my basic tattoo and clothing layers because I was so used to the multiple clothing layers and attachments which Firestorm has but Phoenix does not...yet! ;-)
There is apparently a major war going on right now between the die hard Phoenix lovers and the Firestorm viewer people. The Firestormers call the Phoenix people the "oldies" and other bad names. What a shambles.
Guess what though...both viewers kick the Linden Lab official Viewer in the teeth backwards leaving it crash ass down in the mud and floundering limply like a flaccid whale gasping for breath on a hot sandy beach....just wish I could still use Firestorm because when/if it works and you get used to it, it leaves Phoenix in the dust!

P.S. I am going to be on the cover of the next COX LEATHER Mag....

Picture this...6 am and nobody is around on Second Life. I'm bored and horny and fucked up on Quaaludes and coke and head off to naughty Spurts Beach to see if anything is passed out in the surf awaiting mating and I come across my buddy Cannon Atlass hanging on a fucking kite, buck naked with the nicest cock just hanging there and nips ripe and willing and...well I got to hold Cannons kite string for him while I photographed this totally berserk occasion for your enjoyment.
Yes Cannon was blindfolded, yes he knew I was there and yes he consented to me publishing these breath taking photographs!
I love Cannon, he never ceases to amaze and entertain me and make me pee myself laughing!

In order to view the new mesh, you have to have a mesh capable viewer. As of this writing, the only viewers supporting mesh are Second Life's V3.0 and Kirstens.S21.

An Article of mesh clothing is actually a special type of prim. Think of it as a flexi sculptie. When wearing mesh, you usually need to hide your avatar with an alpha layer.

The new viewers allow you to wear up to 5 items at any location, and this includes alpha layers. If you need to wear more than one at once (for example, one for the shirt and one for the pants) right click it from your inventory and select "add" instead of "wear"

Remember, you can "add" up to 5 items at any location, be sure you aren't accidently wearing 5 pairs of boots!

The mesh clothing should be right clicked and worn., which will attach it to the appropiate location. Actually, it doesn't seem to matter where you attach them, the items will find the right spots,

We provide two sizes of mesh in our packages. Altough either size should fit any avatar shape, the small one will give you a thinner appearance, while the large size will make you look more muscular.

One word of caution: Viewer 1.23 can't "see" mesh OR alpha layers. We suggest you wear some sort of shorts or something so you don't appear naked to folks using these older viewers.

I'm always unpopular when I bitch and speak out against this new Mesh bullshit encroaching upon us against our will on Second Life but it really does seem to be the Antichrist lately.
Ever since Mesh has entered SL things are declining at a rapid degeneration rate and is caused this overwhelming "walking-through-mud" lag all over the grid, horrible new viewer designs and layouts and so many bells and whistles and toys that for me SL is becoming so unusable and so not fun that i find myself logging off more and watching TV more (gasp)!
Even the trustworthy Firestorm beta 2 is making me crash so damn much I have temporarily fled by default to the dreaded SL Viewer 3 for relief from crashes!
Yeah I could still use Phoenix Viewer but what is the point when it too is doomed?
NOTE TO LINDENS: FIX THE FUCKING OLD BASIC BUGS FIRST AND MAKE SECOND LIFE AN ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE BEFORE ADDING NEW, UN NECESSARY TOYS, BELLS AND WHISTLES!!!!!!!
All I ask for is a viewer that works without crashing, rezzing problems and horrific lag!
Phoenix and the old viewer 1 were all finally working fairly fool proof for a while about a year ago and then it all went to hell...
Prim and sculpty clothing attachments are problem enough and I long gave up on trying to wear belts. Apparently with mesh clothing you must adjust your avatar to fit the clothes!!!!

I tried on a pair of mesh camo pants and they had to be worn with an alpha layer underneath to hide all your body parts which take away any sign of your nice pronounced bubble butt and leave you with a flat ass and chicken, skinny legs. So unattractive. I would have included a picture here of me wearing mesh camo pants but it was so unattractive that my vanity prevented me from being seen like that!
yeah the idea is nice and if it worked and integrated with what we have that would be nifty and nice as a kitten in a basket but everything is in an upheaval because of this shit!

In the past few weeks a few individuals seem to have had it in them to fuck with me in various, different ways! I tried to ignore it all but when it became blatant I decided to loose it...I value total honesty and no game playing and when I'm lied to I will loose it.
First off, my other skins and hairs were making me somewhat whipped so i tore off those mother fuckers and and threw them in a garbage can, poured a gallon of lighter fluid in that shit and set the bitch on fire! As it burned I downed a bottle of jack, snorted some coke and pissed on the fucker and when a puddle of piss formed on the ground I caught a reflection of my naked self...my old Ziggy was there staring back at me in the reflection and it was good!
They say that behind every avatar is a human being with the same feelings and emotions as you and me and that we should treat everybody how we would like to be treated. Well i say behind alot of avatars are fucking assholes who need to be humbled. It's time for some brutal honesty back on this blog and I'm blowing whistles....

This time I had the privilege of photographing one of my very best friends on Second Life: KYLE BECKETT. Kyle happens to also be an ex-boyfriend/partner of mine and this was the first time we actually spent some really good quality time together since we parted ways back in March.
